Looking for wheels! Anybody selling?

I just thought I would post here about this, since the 4Sale forum doesn't get much viewing....

Here's the link:
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...threadid=11892

I'm looking for some wheels (15", 6-lug pattern). I'm trying to keep things cheap, so they're definitely going to have to be used. I really like the stock 96-97 4runner wheels, so if anyone has an extra set of those lying around........

I hope it's ok to post another link like this, my Items wanted thread only got like 5 views in 4 days.

Thanks everyone!

J.

Yep, perfectly OK.
Just read the guidelines in there I setup, and it will show that you can place a link in the SUV area pointing to the classifieds area.

Hey J.. I'm going to be taking these off when I get my lift put on - they came stock on my 97.

They will probably be available the 2nd week in July (maybe sooner) and I can take some close-ups if you like.

Are you interested in the tires? They're Michelin p235/70/r15 and are in pretty good shape... I can get tread pics as well.

Cool....i'm interested in either one, but before i go any further, has anyone shipped tires/wheels before?

I did a quick estimate (from Virginia) to here in Alabama and it was ridiculous. UPS as $30/box and USPS was $60/box. I estimated the boxes to be 32"x32"x12" and weight to be around 25lbs. Multiply that by four and it's going to be A LOT just to ship. Are there cheaper ways to move big stuff like this?

Thanks!

J.

I shipped a set of Honda wheels last year. The total from SLC to NJ was $140 via ups (shipped four boxes)

Cool

Yeah, that's what I thought.... pretty expensive.

I am going to have to say no to your tires... Those look like they're in awesome shape, but i have 30x9.50's on my truck now and DO NOT want to go smaller. It makes the truck look puny, but if you can part with just the wheels, feel free to make me an offer.

I'm interested in your wheel/tire set since my current tires wouldn't fit on the 16" rims. Again, feel free to make me an offer.

If you guys want to get rid of your wheels, email me a price and I'll consider it along with the shipping. I can't guarantee anything right now *poor college student*, i'm just considering my options, and I'd hate to spend so much on shipping! But, give me your best deal and i'll see what i can do!

Thanks guys,

Jason

Try Fed Ex Ground.

I had a set of wheels with snow tires for my Rabbit shipped from AZ to MT last winter. 2 boxes $80.

Guys,

I talked to my UPS guy a few weeks ago and he says they don't need to be boxed up. He said that as long as the shipping label is securely taped to the tread of the tire, you're fine. He suggested a lot of clear packing tape.

I believe someone said Forward Air is a good alternative to UPS and Fedex.

Forward air is good, but you need a terminal at both ends (drop off and pick up). Don't think they do delivery. But they are cheaper.

Shoot me a price, I'll see if i can swing it. I probably can't afford the cost of tires AND wheels right now, but who knows...
