go to an import salvage yard or auto recycler as they like to call themselves....e-bay...craigs list.. etc.... My guess is you may have already done this, but anyway.

Nope - I tried to save some money and have a buddy repaint my tailgate...He obviously did a crappy job removing this molding...looks like he used a pry bar!

I've tried all the usual places to get one used - but no luck so far...Thanks for the info about the 98 parts truck ...I'll talk with him.
