Looking at an 85 4runner this weekend...

The details:

1985 4Runner, solid front axle
22RE, Auto Tranny, all glass is good
190K miles, 30K on engine
20K on brakes/bearings/gears
5K on cat and muffler (custom exhaust goes above frame)
5.29 gears, open front, lock-right rear
3" Skyjacker springs/shocks
3" body lift
33x12.50 GY MTRs on chrome wheels
CV rear driveshaft (high-angle driveline)
replaced AT as of 2 years ago (with used)

He's asking 3900

Only problem is its white with Brown (Yuuuuuck) interior

anybody have any pics of what that interior looks like? Its the only thing making me not want to consider it. Anything I need to look at that could cause problems?

Thanks,

Alex

I used to have that color interior. I dyed all the parts , new carpet and reupolstered seat. This is 8 years later, as you can see some brown spots

Auto tranny: very slow..5.29 gears will help alot thou
What shape is the body, it should be pretty nice for $3900.

Sounds good but the only thing I would be aware of is the auto. It has a tendency to make a slow vehicle even slower.

The body is ok....its got an oh ˟˟˟˟ (metal) handle) bolted above the driver side door, and has removed F/R bumpers, replaced with aftermarket offroad bars, also has sliders, dents, scratches are there...I figured id offer around 3k/3300 depending....KBB on the thing with 190K+ miles is 2300....some rust on some bolt holes here and there from where things had been bolted to it and removed.

Thanks again for those pics guys...im up in the air still.

sounds like the runner's been done right from what i can hear. you hardly ever see trucks with oversized tires here that have ever been regeared. i don't think it'd be too bad with 5.29s and the auto, as the tranny has a pretty deep overdrive.
