Light bar on roof of 3rd gen?

I have a 97 4runner sr5 it has stock roof racks and was considering buying a $130 bar to put 2 to 4 lights up top. I have 2 fogs on my bumper already so I'm skeptical of purchasing because I've never seen one on a 97 before. Anybody have any pics? I beleive the bar is on carID.com

I considered this years ago when I thought about turning mine into an off-road truck. I actually bought an extra roof rack bar and planned to mount the lights to that to minimize cutting to the roof to 1 small hole for the wire.

Never actually got around to doing it though and actually still have the roof rack laying around.

I threw 4 of the small PIAA's up top for a while, but they were just attached by a piece of angle iron on my basket. If you do put a bar up there make sure to get spots not floods. Your roof-line will clip your beam otherwise. Also, shut your sunroof shade or you will blind yourself.

That's the look I'm going for but I have stock roofracks. I don't really want to spend over $150. Also my fogs are mounted in front of my grille.

I would be interested in selling the spare roof rack I have if you want something to experiment with.

I used a stock load bar I got at a junkyard for $10. You don't have to drill holes in the roof for the wires if you don't want to!

If you look closely at the above pic you can see the wire loom going into the end cap on the roof rack. If you remove that piece (torx screw) and look you'll see a white plastic vase-like thing. Cut the end off the vase thing and drill a hole through the end cap and run your wires that way. No new holes in the metal. Put a little silicone in there for no leaks

My rack's kinda tall so the lights fit in fine. Something to think about though, how 'stealth' low do you want to go?
