Looks awesome Fink! Congratulations on the new lift and tires! We'll have to go "test" those out somewhere soon.

Lower center of gravity? hmmm... maybe if he wasn't planning on lifting it over that one inch. Body lifts keep the center of gravity lower compared to suspension lifts last time I checked...

Either way, Both of your rigs are look'n good! I can't wait to do mine this summer. This rubbing is kill'n me with the 33.8s... It also looks stock because the fenders are filled so well

The rubbing isn't bad enough to make me want to have a 2"...all I have to do is pound the rear part of the fender in so the tire doesn't rub on it other than that everythings great, I even did some minor flexing last night and I had room to spare...overall I'm really pumped that I did it and can't wait to get all the rubbing squared away.

Thanks for the compliments guys, keep em comin!

I'll have more pics up tomorrow night...

If you want to make it really clean, do as follows.

Remove the inner fender liner, this will require taking out 4 or so bolts so you have enough room to roll it back. Then look at the seam where the firewall comes out towards the wheel well. Apply grinder as needed. It will be a lot nicer if you take the material out rather than just beat it. I use the hammer for fine tuning.

Once that is flat, roll up the bottom lip that holds the lowest fender well liner bolt. When done, apply favorite sprayon undercoating. Then cut off the bottom 6 or so inches of the liner and replace it with floor runner. The material you just removed creates a ridge that is molded into the liner, so it will stick out and rub eventhough there is no more fender there.

Also, do you have a front swaybar? The real flex testing will be with it off. I got more compression that way and needed to retrim.

Yeah, everything is stock up front.

Flygt, I really appreciate the advice.

I ended up having to cut some that lining anyway so maybe I've already done some of that work...if you don't mind, could you send me a pic of what you're talkin about so I can be sure to cut and grind the right place?

Thanks again for the tip man!

Exactly why I was wondering why you'd only go with one inch and then hack away on your rig.. it's only 1"... you would never ever notice the difference between the two... I guess there are a few more things involved when lifting that extra inch....

Yeah 4x4Lamm has a red 2nd gen...I'm the waskillywabbit twin of the 2nd Genners.

Those of you running 33x12.50 BFG M/T's...what pressure have you found to be the best? I'm not even sure what pressure Wal-Mart put them at when they mounted em...

Thanks,

Fink

So what would you suggest for a pressure in my new tires?

I'm thinkin maybe 35-40? I ran my old A/T's at 35psi and they ran pretty good...I'm not sure what the M/T's would run the best at.

Thanks guys!

Hey thats me! Yeah, I would have gotten a different user name if i had know ther was a 4x4Fink, oh well...

Speaking of Fink, that looks awsome man!!! Did ypu install the BL yourself or have a shop do it, hit any snags on the way up.

My next big move will be a 1" RB BL, 15x8 tech 1s and some 33x12.50s.

Once again, looks great, I'm jelous.

I had a shop put it on for me...only cost about $150, figured that was a good deal given the fact that I'm workin close to 30 hours a week and still goin to high school. Only problem that I know of was gettin the front bumper aligned again...I arrived as they were puttin it on so I got to help with the finishing touches.

Thanks for the comps,

Fink

Optima Yellow Top which I'm gettin ready to order now...turns out I never had a battery strap on my old battery so its been slidin over and hitting the power steering belt and tearing a hole in the stupid thing

So now I've got some battery acid startin to seap out...anyway, after the Yellow Top its either gonna be steering stabilizer, tinting or manual hubs...I think...or those hub covers, hmm...new thought!

What about you KING?

Well...got the fenders cut. Rubbing is gone, except in EXTREME flex situations...with the wheels turned hard in either direction and going at a severe angle into a ditch or something. A situation that I'll probably never get in except if I do some hardcore wheeling.

All thats left to do now is spray the fender with the undercoating and see how that goes.

Thanks again for all the help and compliments on the lift...if you have any other questions or comments, just gimme a shout!

Fink
