You're right, the TRD Prerunner package included TRD progressive coils, Bilstein shocks, and the e-locker. I believe they only came with the 3.4L as well.

They also offered non-TRD PreRunners which was basically what I described above, a 4wd Tacoma without the 4wd running gear. I believe those were available with the 2.7L 4 cylinder or the 3.4L. To my knowledge, the locker only came with the TRD package.

Not positive, but it sounds like a topout spacer. If it is, it is installed either above the coil or on top of the whole coil assembly. It preloads the spring, effectively "lifting" the front end.

If that's the case, then you'd just have to disassemble the coil assembly, replace the coil with the Trailmaster coil and re-assemble the coil assembly.

Not sure, though.

No 4x4 to tear up=
a lighter truck=more gas mpg. more power
only have to buy a set of gears for the rear
ok once you lift it, you LOSE gas mileage. and puttin 35s on it? will lose some mileage. honestly though, why are you building a prerunner and not gonna use it? if you're going long travel suspension, it tends to tear up stuff a lot quicker on the street. and i mean a lot quicker. no fun having a mall runner that looks like a prerunner

It is already lifted with 35s and it looks just like a 99 Tacoma 4x4.

Until you look under the frontend.

It will be a nice ride to take the kids to school in

I have a '99 PreRunner w/o TRD Package and I have the locker.
