I have a few questions. I seen these on the net and is stores:

Anyone take this route for lifting thier truck? Would you need to buy new shocks for this applications? or other parts?
Also I have a question about changing all the rubber bushings in the steering/suspension for polyurethane (spelling?) or something better. Is thier a kit out there for 2 gen 4 runners? Has anyone every done this and can tell me if its worth all the trouble?

 

never heard of that company in particular, but that how tons of people on this board lift their truck

 

I prefer lift coils such as OME becuase over time your stock springs will start to compress with the spacer lift. But, it is an option and lots of people use those sort of lifts. Do a search (in yotatech) for spacer lift and see what you find...

The person that i contacted through the company was very very nice! As for the product.. im very very satisfied! it leveled out the truck and lifted it about 2." You can look into it and also ask the seller questions. As for your second question.. NOTHING ELSE was needed. All they did was put the spacer above the struts and add on the Rear AAL's. Oh yeah.. and i just recently got 285/75/16 bfg A/T.. hehe love them! Im planning on changing this setup to the Tuff country 5"lift.
anyway.. it was worth the 300 including installation.. IMO.

 

I installed new rear OME shocks and springs with 1-1/2" lift, also front OME's at stock length. I've been pleased with the installation.

 

Yes, there are poly bushing kits available. Yes, it's a lot of work but if you have a big vise at home you can do it yourself. It does tighten up the suspension and steering, sportier handling on the road. But it makes a harsher ride, noiser and less smooth.

No advantage off road. (in fact, poly bushings in leaf springs detract from off road performance - as one spring droops both springs twist - the poly bushings don't want to let them twist...)
