Hey guys, just wondering if this setup is what I would want.........I have searched, but just want to make sure!
I have a 1997 4runner by the way.

3" OME Lift kit with front/rear coils and spacers
OME Front/Rear shocks

By the way, ordering from toytec, do they have the best prices for OME, or are they all about the same? Thanks for the help, and sorry because I know this question has been asked!

 

What are you asking?

I ordered from TOYTECLIFTS.COM and they were great to deal with. I think I paid 630 for the 4 springs, shocks, diff drop, and steering bushings.

 

what do you want to do with your car? there are quite a few setups available.

 

x2. if you want to wheel for real i suggest not lifting any higher than you need to clear tires.

 

is he asking about putting spacers above the OME coils??

i was wondering the same thing...he said ome and spacers..so i dunno. general consensus is 880F w/topout and 890R should be good for the daily driver with improved handling(not as mushy). if youre gonna go with ome struts, be weary of over-extending the cv's. diff drop is a must. panhard bar is recommended, as is extended brake lines..other than that good luck with the lift. if youre tryna fit 285's you might need a 1" bl too

 

going to try to fit some 285 destination mt's on it....sorry for the terrible question guys, it was a late night. But I guess what I am trying to say is, do you think a 3" coil lift with struts should clear the 285's, or as hiloracerboy said, will I need a 1" body lift as well?

 

depends. everyones vehicle is different. could fit with some cutting and pounding near pinch weld. as for the mt's...if youre running stock wheels you may run in to some problems with rubbing the upper a-arm but that differs for some people too so just have to try n see. good luck

 

That's a sweet lift there, Toytec has got good products! Don't forget the diff drop to ease your cv's and 285's fit on my 2.5 OME set-up, with minor fenderr trimming and upper arm shaving I get a little rub there but that's cus the TOYO MT's I'm running have over the shoulder traction (Knobs)!

 

I'm running 265's right now on stock suspsension and rims just FYI, I don't know why I am telling you all this, but yeah, I will just try with the new coils and see if it works out!
