thanks kc,
i'll be stopping by the auto store and pickin it up. To answer your question about stompping grounds in STL, i dont have the answer because i just started the 4running quest. I will be finding out spots soon. but i would like to go to KC to try some amateur trails, since my runner is pretty stock. nothing hardcore...but i added you to my aim list and will be keepin in touch with you on that. also, do you have any mods such as deckplate and all that? thanks

2 inexpensive fluids work well for squeaks from door hinges, etc. and keeping the rubber molding around your door/windows in good condition: motor oil and silicon spray.
For door hinges all around, dip your finger in the motor oil and rub it on the platic/metal/rubber pieces that go in and out or rotate on a bolt. Open/close the door a few times and apply again. Lasts a long time and never squeaks.
As a replacement to motor oil you can use silicon spray. It's similar to WD-40 except it doesn't freeze in cold weather. Motor oil sticks better than silicon spray though. For your rubber weatherstrip moldings use silicon spray (not motor oil) and rub it into the rubber moldings. It keeps it pliable so it doesn't fade and crack on you.
