a friend of mine is thinking about getting Liberator tires from Wal-mart b/c that's all he can afford. i'm advising against it, mainly b/c the tire is made by walmart, i think. any negative comments about these tires?

 

Actually... Wal-mart doesnt make their tires. They are made for them. I THINK (god, dont quote me) they are made by Michellin. I'm not saying they are a great tire, but.. a friend has a set of 235's on his 98 Taco. he has 20k on them and no complaints. All your friend can afford, is all he can afford. If he needs new tires, it's better to have a new Wal-mart tire than a bald "may-pop." He (and everyone around him) will be safer w/ the Liberators. Tell your bud to mount them black-wall out, and when guys bend over to read what it says on the side wall, kick 'em in the A$$!
