Land Cruiser coils installed with pics!
After about 2 hours of work, I finally got the LC coils installed! It was not all that difficult, just took some to take things apart and put them back together. I did the entire process by myself, along with some air tools, hand tools and a long pry bar.
It's amazing how LONG these coils are! I got 4" of lift on top of my sagging stock coils with Daystar spacers. Mid wheel to fender measurements are 24" and from the ground to fender is right at 40". I'm hoping that over time, these will sag in inch or so. Although LONG, these springs ride amazingly well! I didn't bother doing new shocks, as my almost new Ranchos seem to handle the flex pretty well. I also kept the stock brake lines for now, but if I do any serious off roading, I'll need longer ones. And, after measuring the axle shift, I've decided a panhard drop bracket isn't really necessary right now either.
Here's a comparison between the stock springs/spacers and the LC coils.

Now, a shot of the wheel opening after the new coils. Lots of space...maybe time for 285's?

Here's my 4Runner next to my wife's '99 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I sit at least 6" higher.

I actually think it doesn't look that bad. I had these same coils but decided against them when I saw how tall they were and that they probably wouldn't sag much. I could easily live w/ the rake you have but I've seen others where it was ridiculous.

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with how things turned out. The LC's are wayyyy long, but hopefully will settle/sag some over the next few weeks. I kept my stock springs/spacers just in case! Despite the length, they ride awesome!!!
The current rake is acceptable, but just a tad high for my tastes. Don't know about the headlights yet, but I would bet they'll be pointing a little low. I'll check aim again in the next few days.

After weeks of trying to find used ones, I bought these new from toyotapartssales.com. There are really no local sources for used LC parts around here and I did try on several forums. The only used ones I did find were 19-1/2" Pass and 20-1/2" driver, 9 wrap coils...probably way too long.
Since these are new, I hope they settle some. Anyone have any ideas on how long it will take or how much they'll sag?

Mine were from a 93 I think... I put them on and I probably only had 1/2" sagging after about 8 months of having them on.
I did not take any real measurements, just a guess.

how cool!
awesome timing! i just put my LC coils on this weekend as well. went in without much hassle. eh...yeah mine has the same rake but im hoping to LT the front eventually which should help a bit. i love the ride. i like the height. i could have gone a hair lower but im not complaining! i like it! nice job!

Thanks Esthetic! I've gotten a lot of good comments on how it looks from my buddies and many thumbs up from people as I drive by. Overall, it could sag another inch and still look good, but I'm not complaining! Any pics for us to see Esthetic?

Looks good, mang! Something about the grey trim on the white body looks so good to me, and especially the way yours is looking. Throw some 285's on there and you're set! I imagine that if I ever get my wife a runner, I'd like to get one like what you have. Looks good!

Hi Emptypockets,
When I installed cruiser springs in my 95 Runner I noticed a looser feel in the steering . The caster had changed in the front from factory.
Have you noticed a difference in the steering as well or does it still steer the same ?
Oh yeah your Runner looks nice with that small Rake to it !!

I've put about 200 miles on it now and it seems to be just fine. In fact, I'd say the ride is better than before. The only thing I've noticed that when I brake hard, there's a slight dive and there is slightly more body lean in turns. Neither of them is very noticable though. I love the LC springs so far!

They should definalty settle some you think? I am thinking about putting some of these coils on my 4runner. The only thing that i am worried about it, that i have a hitch rack and put my 200lb dirtbike on it and i am curious to see how the coils would handle it.

Then again my LC coils are something like 21" long, and not 19.5" as they should be...
