Has any one tried this mod on their 3.0L V6 to solve annoying engine ping/knock?If so how hard was it and how much of a difference did it make?

 

I'm pretty sure no one has done this around here. Why not be the first?

Interesting, I might have to add that on the to do list.

 

Does anyone have a picture showing where this mod has been done on a 22RE? I think I understand what is supposed to be done, but i've never soldered before or messed with sensors so I wanted to see a pic of it as a preventative measure. I definitely have some serious knocking when my truck is under a load (accelerating or uphill).
