Anyone know what wire the knock sensor#1 is on the ECU of a 2000 3.4L 4runner? I found a diagram, that shows A27 on the pinout that is a black wire? This is the only wire I need to confirm to install my SAFC-II!

 

I don't know for sure on your year/model. On mine there were 2 wires for the knock sensor one for bank 1 one for bank 2. Why does the SAFC-II need a knock sensor connection anyway?

 

After look back at this old thread https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/t...rnings-134441/ I see on my 2001 Tacoma there was a gray wire and a black wire for the knock sensors. Your year/model may be different.

 

Supposedly the safc ii can read knock, but not warn you of the dreaded ping. You would figure, if it can detect it, why can some sort of buzzer or light go off to warn people?

I'm pretty sure it's the black wire now. Did a lot of searching last night and i think i have all the pinouts i need now.
