Can anyone verify if the knock sensor was relocated on the 2005 4 runner. I can't see the cable that is suposed to run from sensor up to wire harness. I do see two sensor looking things (2 wires) on each side of the engine between the two center cylinders.

I have three lights on: eng light, VSC trac & VSC off - lights on & I had codes pulled - P0332 & 333.

P0332 = KS 2 circuit low input bank 2
P0333 = KS 2 circuit high input bank 2

I'm not very farmiliar with the 4 runner yet (just repalced my 97 landcruiser with this 05 4runner) I've searched forums but I have no idea if it's is a faulty sensor, open or short circut, bad gas caused engine knock or what. I was looking for the wire and connector as a starting point but had no luck.

I don't have a code reader - Is there a way to manually reset the codes to see if they come back or if it was a fluk?

Thankx

I'm looking through FSM but can't seem to find my yr and engine.

My 4runner is, 2005 V8 4.7L
The items I am questioning if they are the knock sensors are different looking than what I expect. I attached a couple pics, if someone is farmilliar with more knowledge can conferm.

I am going to grant you one wish...by linking you to the correct FSM pages regarding the knock sensors for your engine.

But first...I have to say a few things...just so you know. Starting with...your question is so off the topic of this thread it isn't even funny. So...don't go attempting this type of thread debauchery again...please...thanks! Very bad forum etiquette indeed. And BTW, that pic you attached is pretty much worthless. As it's too small to see a damn thing...

Let's try and keep things neat and orderly in the future shall we?

Bumping it to include the alternate part # for my 1990, according to the dealer: 82219-89103

Picture looks the same as the one listed on page 1, not sure what the difference is.
