What brand sensor did you use? What year/make/model/engine are you working on?

3.4 , and not sure what brand. but identical codes every time , my mechanic is going to try splicing the wire from the sensor throwing the code to the other one , at the ecu to see if it is the main harness

I just went through the knock sensor ordeal. Typical code 0330 means your sub harness is bad but it could still be a bad sensor. Check with your mechanic and ask if they replaced your sensors with the correct model. It seems that the 4runner was equipped with either denso or matsu˟˟˟˟a sensors and the engine will still throw a code if the wrong one is used.
I tried parts store sensors and I had to pull everything apart again after I finally tracked down the correct sensors for my engine.
