Keyless remote...programmed!

well..my remote it finally programmed...i just walked outside and figured i'd try the simplified version of the process i had already attempted..and to my amazement..it worked.

Ya' Just press the green button on the side of the security box under the driver seat..the security light turns on...then ya hold the top button on the remote. And waaa laa...it's done.

The sad thing is..i already tried this...accept with some added steps @ the end. I was informed to do that same process..but to then turn the key to "off"..then back to "on"...and to press the green button yet again, and then press the bottom button on the remote. It didn't seem to make much sense to me..seeing how the top button is used to both lock and unlock the car..but that's what the instructions said....so we messed around with it for a while..and it never worked..

But now i got it...finally...

Thanks Beachrunner...for the post you put up.

I found out that my box had gotten all sorts of stuff spilled on it. When I opened it up it was all rusted inside!!! I dunno how much a replacement would cost. I'll just probalby end up buying a car alarm.

prolly better off buying an aftermarket one anyway. I don't know the exact features that factory ones have but most of the time aftermarket electronic stuff is better.
