Whenever I make a right turn onto a driveway or gutter with a steep angle/approach my 04 Tacoma makes a loud Ka-Clonk! on the driver side REAR axle/tire. Anyone have the same experience? My first thought is the shock but maybe it's a ghost out to get me...

 

What yeat Tacoma?? I spoke with Toyota about the latest recall they did this year (steering) and this is as close to the sound they described. Call the dealership and see if the Taco is covered.

I have a similar sound on my 3rd gen runner but on the right side. Can it be your sway bars? I just replaced mine and I think the new ones are making the sound you describe. Just been lazy to figure it out but will in the next week or so.
