JET chip reprogramming

Has anyone sent their chip in to JET to be reprogrammed? I keep seeing this service offered by the 4x4 retailers for around $300, with a claimed HP gain of somewhere between 10-15 HP. Was wondering who has done this, and how much of a noticable difference there is.

I heard there was no HP gains and it's the biggest waste of money.

Gadget has a writeup on his site explaining why it's a waste of money. It really is... nobody has ever seen performance gains from it.

Supposedly, the Toyota ECU is not "re-programable". The JET upgrade has not met a very warm welcome here.
