get rid of that external blue light crap and go to stock lighting, it'll be worth more

most people know about blue lights not being worth a damn

the interior lights though, that looks kickass. keep that stuff

also in your autotrader photo WHY is the 4wd in part time mode ? it tells me you drive
it in part time on the street ? that means the cv's and everything else are beat.

I mean, that is what the picture is saying to me

you may wanna push that lever in the proper position and take a new photo, doncha know

Any chance you wanna swap hoods before you sell? Mine is black and great condition but no scoop.

I agree! I sold my '04 LS1 GTO a couple weeks ago. I loved that car, but I was sick of the almost $500 a month payments, and am worried about how high gas will go since I drive 60 miles a day for work. So now I am rocking a paid for '98 Saturn sedan lol! I still have the Yota if I need to haul something. To tell the truth I don't really miss the GTO, and it's sweet not having a car payment.

So if your dad is telling you what you can and can't buy, I'm guessing you live at home? If so I would be against getting a newer expensive car. I bought the GTO when I still lived at home (I was barely 22; moved back home after college to save up.... didn't happen lol) and it was a burden of a car to have once I was engaged and buying a house and now married with a child on the way. You're still going to be financing a pretty penny unless you have cashed saved up.

Rob

Skid Plate is stock on 2002 Sport Edition's, and I might take the Hella's off. I would sell them to Evan if I did though.

The blue hid's will be going with the ride, the light output is amazing, especially in the Micro DE Fog's. I'm not trying to return everything to stock, to much of a hassel, I took the 22"s off and that's probably all I'll do. As for the 4wd, I never pay attention to it. It's always been like that ever since I've had it and it hasn't caused me any problems. I've only enabled it a few times when it was snowing.

I do not see that it is in 4WD. I think the aftermarket blue dash lights he's installed cause the 4wd indicator to light up blue as well even though he's not in 4WD. Could be light from nearby bulbs lighting it up or blue ones installed behind the actual indicator light.

Sheezy, how motivated are you to sell? Do you have it listed on autotrader.com, craigslist.com, local newspaper or any other sites? You could always try throwing it on Ebay and setting a reserve price and see if you get what you want.

Actually ebay is about the best chance. Put it on there not for bidding but for a fixed price listing with the best offer option turned on. Then see what people offer you.

Select a 10 day listing BTW, gives you more bang for your buck.

I am in the same boat with TA, I bought my 2000 Limited with straight cash. It's great to not have a car payment and the legendary reliability of a 4Runner. I will keep my rig forever.

Without a doubt I wish you the best of luck selling your Runner for what you need to get out of it but honestly, I think that is going to be tough.

I sold my '99 for $10k to a buddy which was a steal. I could have realistically gotten about $13k out of it at most.

I will say, however, that selling my 3rd gen for my '07 Taco was the best decision I have made car-wise yet. I LOVE my taco, sure I owe money on it...so what? It's MORE than worth it...as long as my financials stay where they are at or above, I don't ever see myself buying used again.

The peace of mind in knowing that you have owned the car from the beginning and have "raised" it the way it needs to be is value enough for me.

Good luck in your sale/trade/buy deal and let us know what you end up doing.

Fink

The runner looks good now with the stock rims/ tires, I am sure someone would buy it for $12~$14k, but doubt $17k.

Can't get a new 4Runner if I can only get 12 to 14k out of it...

Right now I've got it on
cars.com
autotrader.com
mautofied.com

And tomorrow I'm putting it on Ebay.

Well we ended up working a really good deal with Toyota in Kingsport and they gave me almost 15k for my 4Runner since it was in such great condition. So here it is... let me know what you think! I've also got some black rear floor mats & my OEM headlights if anyone is interested.. PM me.

congrats!

Hard to tell from the pics, but are those oem wheels silver or gun metal? Looks good either way.

Will most of your time spent on YT now be in the 4th gen section...

They are gun metal, but even though I have a 4th Gen. now, I'll probably still be spending more time in the 3rd Gen. section!

Unless they sell that truck for 19k, they are taking a loss. And right now, no one is going to pay 19k for a 3rd gen. You can find 4th gens for $12k locally.
