I've Converted

After being here for more than a year without a Toyota, I have converted. I sold my ranger yesterday and I’m picking up my Tacoma on Friday. It was kind of spontaneous. I put my truck up for sale Friday afternoon and had it sold on Saturday, just dropped it off yesterday. I've always liked how the Tacoma’s looked, except the new '05's. I'm so excited about getting my new truck. Here are some pics I took yesterday. It's a 2004 Double Cab w/ the TRD package.

I went from this:

To this:

And the all important E-Locker( sorry its blury ):

Another successful conversion guys! Good work!

You're gonna love the Tacoma, looks like a pretty sweet Ford...I'll leave all my Ford comments to myself, looks pretty sweet though...what all did you have done to it?

Here is what was done to the ranger:
Front Suspension:
Camburg Custom Beams
Camburg Heimed Radius Arms W/ Transmission X-Member
Extended Brake Lines, Engine Cage, Fox Coilovers, SAW Bumps

Rear Suspension:
Deaver Race pack
Camburg Shackles
Fox Double Bypasses
Camburg Bed Cage

Misc.:
32x11.50 BFG At/KO on AR-23’s
Dual Spares
Dynomax exhaust
K&N FIPK, BBK Throttle Body, Granatelli MAF, Optima Red Top
Glassworks Fenders and Bedsides, Hannemann Hood
And I still had at least another $5k to throw at it (cab cage and some interior work), so I cut my losses.

Tacoma Dude: I went to look at it and the truck was immaculate. The interior still had the "new car smell". The interior and exterior were perfect. It only has 3,500 miles on it and it is only 4 months old. It was exactly what I was looking for.

Plus just about everyone in my family has a toyota. My mom has a camrey, my bro has a 1st gen 4runner, and my step-dad had a 1st gen til recently, he traded it for a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I've had my doubts about fords, but the ranger has treated me well, I've had no major problems with it.

That's awesome that the truck was in such pristine condition!!!

You know I've heard that Rangers will last forever if you get a good one. But if you get a crappy one you'll have problems for life.

That's what I've heard anyway.

I know the newer rangers ('01-present) are particually bad and the 4x4 versions worse. I know some people who are on their 3rd and 4th transmission and 2nd or 3rd tranfer-case. So it has always been in the back of my mind that something was going to go worng, but luckily never did.

Anyways one more day
