You know I was thinking, these headlights would look good on your 4Runner, they'd give your 4Runner an even more blacked out look.

Gotta question on the air intake. How much rain water can you pick up with that in a very strong rain at 60 mph. Apparently not a problem... but it seems if the intake were turned 180 degrees... you wouldn't even have to think about that possibility. Or is there some other trick on the intake that takes care of that.

Just thinking out loud...

Thanks dude, the headlights do seem nice but I'm too skeptical on the beam pattern and the reviews i've heard to fork over any cash for them. Plus I'm going on a pacific surf excursion in june for 5 weeks, need a little bit of money for that so the mods are halted for now

As for the water, the snorkel can be a vacuum under the wrong conditions. the head is mounted sort of loose, so when inclement weather hits the head spins 180 degrees to eliminate anything besides air getting to the intake, so you nailed it man

Okay about this sport hood thing. I had something arranged with a company called Certifit to supply sport hood shells at one hell of a price, prepped and ready to paint. It turns out that it wasn't all that good of a deal because it came with nothing else, i tried to locate the aftermarket parts to complete it but came up empty, sorry to get everyone's hopes up. However, I can get the crystal heads AND tails from them including everything for relatively cheap, pm me if you're interested.

And Brian, please keep me posted on the beam pattern, I don't know if it's the bulbs or what but I'm getting horrible output right now and my left pattern is wicked distorted. Would you want to sell me your old heads?

Too bad, i guess the stock hardware from the stock hoods would not have worked?

Oh well, back to looking for a hood again.

Looking good! When are you going to come down for some photos!? It looks huge! We could get some killer rolling shots of it, I have been practicing a bit here and there... Plus having both trucks (I took my basket off too) would be cool too. The wildlife preserve off 17 would be a great place to grab some.

From the preserve:

Rolling shots I have been working on:
