As I've seen with a couple people I've assisted, people are neglecting their intake system...especially those with more damaging summer climates and open airboxes. After tearing apart a few toyotas in the area to help clean their systems I finally opened mine up yesterday, realized the top of the airbox had flung open a while ago, bunch of nasty stuff in there, air filter is trashed and it was pretty grimy up to the throttle body, but all is now great.

So I figure I would post up this friendly reminder. As the summer winds down along with the volatile variables it brings, take an hour out of your day to take everything out and give it all a good cleaning. Cheers!

 

Well said Miller. Or if anything, make sure that airbox is closed properly, mine wasn't either when I check last.
