I think I had warpage because of the overtightening.
That and I have a 150 mile round trip drive to see my girlfriend that I make 1-2 times a week.

Use properly sized hose clamps from the auto store on all ISR plugs. I apologize if this has caused anyone inconvenience. I feel bad.
The stock clamps just were not designed to apply even pressure on slightly smaller diameter PVC plugs. It simply distorts them over time.

Well, I have to say I appreciate you bringing this minor thing to our attention as soon as you did.
I'm surprised at how little time it took for mine to warp! I probably wouldn't have noticed until I did something seriously bad to my engine.
Out of curiosity though - with the plug being warped would that have affected my mileage? I was noticing poorer than usual mileage until last week. I figured it might have been my driving (maybe more aggressive than usual).
Anyhow thanks again for the heads up!

Rubber grommet that fit into a plastic cap. The cap went OVER the intake lip (literally a cap).
The 3/4 OD fuel line was a snug fit into the grommet and I used (at first) non-sensor safe silicone sealant. I think I emptied out like 1/2 a tube
After my check engine light I pulled the EFI and coated everything with sensor safe stuff.
I think you did a professional looking job with ghetto parts.

Are you trying to put it back on with a hose clamp in place?
Many times the hose clamp needs to be loosened nearly all the way.
Another way of asking this question: Will the original silencer box fit without a hose clamp in place?
