Talking International Scout

I know this is a Toyota forum...But there is a 1979 International Scout for sale in my area for $1200 and I was wondering if it was a good deal....

Take a look at it and see what kind of shape it is in. I would love to drive one of those around, but I'm guessing that would involve many trips to the gas station and back!

If all the rubber looks good and the fenders arnt rusted out I would think that is fair if it runs good.

If it has either the 345 or 392 and dual 44's, then that would be a pretty much stellar deal beyond the simple body rot problems.

Not sure about teh trannies or t-cases, but I want to say a T-18 somewhere in the run of production.

Please excuse me if I am wrong on the engines, but those were the preferable ones that came to mind.
