Interesting Dueler Size info...

Directly from the co...

Well, I was mad because I coudln't find any 33" DestinationMTs for a 16" rim, only 285/75s. Found out why! The 285/75/16 DestinationMT is actully 33.1"

Hmm, well this got me thinking... and curious so I started checking other tires since they were right there. I'm currently running the non-revo version of the DuelerAT (ok tire but the revos are much better!) anyway I was wondering how mugh bigger the 33 was going to be so I thought I would check... Turns out the 285/75/16 DuelerAT is 32.9"

Then for poo and gigles I checked the Revos... Turns out the 285/75/16 Revo is actually a 33"! not a 32.8 like its suppose to be...

I know its picking pennies but I found it interesting and for all you fellars that are running 285 Revos no longer have to say, yeah I'm running 33s, well.. basicly 33s. You can now officially say your running 33s! and as for me, It looks like I'm going to be getting 35s

edit:
dueler... so sorry

Duller? you know you can vary the wheel width to make the OD's minutely smaller or larger. After a few miles though it won't matter.

I think I'm going to have to force myself to be satisfied with my 32.83070866141730's, if they were 32.830708661417290's then I would probably think about finding a new tire.

why not just go with a BFG MT or GY MT? Or are you just trying to be difficult, I mean different?

Because everyone and their mother have them for one and I just wasn't impressed with the BFG ATs and have heard really good things about the Destinations... THAT is why... oh, and they are cheap! I found the 285/75 Destination MT for $136.78 a tire here:
http://www.roadwaywholesaletire.com/

ps, they also have Revos for 149.95 Not sure if thats a good deal or not, but the BFG MTs and MTRs (33") are both basicly 200 a tire...

hehe, your gonna piddle over an extra 200 bucks for the set, and uh, a new computer and 8 mp camera this year? haha, just given you shidt.

I wasn't impressed with the BFG AT's when I had them either, but the MT's are a different story. they cost alot but I don't think I'll ever use a different one, they've been very good to me.

I did a search for superswampers and found this...

Hes got 11.5" of suspension lift and a 3"body. He wants $45k or he'll put a 5.5" lift on for cheaper...

be aware that they are really soft, alot softer than most tires so they won't last as long as say, a BFG MT/AT or a GY MT/AT.

I just replaced my BFG MTs with ProComp MTs and so far have nothing but praise for them. Only have about 2000 miles on them though. They are quieter and seem to grip better on wet roads (that would be consistent with softer compound) and I feel no difference off road. So we'll see. I got a deal and actually paid less for them than the unbelieveable quote on BFGs I got from the local Walmart, if I hadn't gotten the deal I got I would have bought more BFGs - I can't any reason to pay more for ProComp than BFGs or Goodyears...

I have 30k on my BFG MT's and still have half the thread so my next set, I'm guessing around 50k will be the same.

Stock a-arms... 1.5" wheel spacers is what Hoju is running. But hes running stock sequoia wheels so I figure 1"-1.25" spacers should be fine until I get some better A-arms.

Thanks for the heads up on the wheels. I actually saw that and almost drooled allover myself... but I was looking at old pics of my runner with the stock wheels on it and started to like it so much that I think i'm just going to run those instead. I have them sitting in my garage so why not.

As for tires, I don't know what i'll end up with right now. Its going to come down to what I can get at a good price. The milage won't matter as much because they will not be my every day tires. I'll have my ATs for that. This is all a big IF right now. There are a bunch of things floating around that I need/want and since I have tires, they aren't super high on the list of things to get but believe me. When I do get them, you guys will hear about it

I thought the same thing until I saw how cool the runner looked with the mudders on it, then I never put the street wheels back on, 1 cause I'm lazy and 2 cause it looked better. you gotta be pretty disciplined to make the switch between trail and road.
