intake noise??
I just have all kinds of noises!
Now I am not very "under the hood" savvy so please bare w/me.
I have a very loud rattling noise in my intake. It's coming from the piece that the cone hooks up to, I think it's the air box? I think it where the cpu plugs into also. I have a stock intake w/ a cone filter. I know it sucks but I am working on it
We 2nd gen guys aren;t as lucky as you 3rd genner's with your amsoil filter.
The noise has been there for awhile now. Is there anything I can do to quiet it down a bit. If anybody has a pic of a 94 stock intake and would post it as a reply I will point out the part. If not I hope you guys & gals know what I am talking about.

I assume you're talking about a K&N FIPK Kit right (I'm guessing on that because you mentioned a cone filter). If so I had the exact same problem. What it ended up being on mine was one of the bolts that held the intake onto the fender well wasn't tight, and a really bad fit, and I actually lost about 3 bolts while offroading because they kept falling out (I've had my intake duct taped to my truck many times
) Finally I found a bolt that was a nice tight fit (sorry I completely forgot what size, I was randomly trying bolts in my garage to see if any would fit) put it in there and put a nut on the end through the fender well, and also put a lock nut on it. That thing hasn't moved since then
So my first suggestion would be to check for loose bolts and tighten them as necessary.
Good luck with it!
*EDIT* Ack just noticed that you said you have a stock intake with a cone filter. I'm not sure how that hooks up, but it might be something similar to my K&N FIPK Setup (replaces the stock airbox completely). But I'd still check all the bolts holding it on, because it could possibly of just shaken loose.
