I was wondering if, by changing the bulbs behind the OEM gauges to blue, it would make everything appear blue like keisur's gauges. Also, how hard would they be to replace? do i just follow the instruction on the write-up on how to replace gauges and find the bulbs? Is it hard to replace the bulbs in the center console? 4runners rock! Thanks in advance!

Mood Lights? haha that's funny. you kill me. where did you get those gauges Wild Bill I like those!
here, I fixed that center light bulb. the dang one that I put in there was about 5 times brighter than the rest so it looked white. I guess it was a defect blue light. I will probably do the console this weekend, taking that console apart is a major PITA!!!

I just checked out your lights on your site and, well,, it looks like I have another project ahead of me. that looks awesome. right after I get my tjm t15 from mike then I picking up the supplies fpr the led stuff. that blows the indiglo stuff away in my opinion! CRAP!!!! I just realized that I can't find any for a '98 5-speed with black faces. So I guess I'll have to try what you stated in an earlier thread about just using the leds in place of the three bulbs in the gauge.

There's several write-ups in the tech section. What year? I think there's 3 write-ups here:
https://www.yotatech.com/~corey/tech/techpage1.htm
HTH and good luck to your friend.

My friend said the 99 4runner installation instructions might not be exactly the same directions for the 2001..
THanks A LOT!

2004:
Do your friend a favor and get him to register for this forum.
Also, the procedure for the 2000 install will be identical to the 1999 install (which I wrote). The only thing that might no be identical is if his faces lie flat on the original gauges. Then he wouldn't need to cut the two holes out at the top.
Another piece o' advice: I can't remember who, but someone here on the forum said that its ok to unscrew the tach/speedo screws. I've never done this and have been warned not to, but he says its ok, so let your friend choose.

Okay, no multimeter here so I need an answer to anyone who has done this. Whice wire is the headlight wire? Or is there is an actual wire to the stock gauges? I am all ready to cut & splice only have no way of telling on from another. Thanks!
