Input from seasoned Tacoma gurus.

2002 Tacoma with 3.4 liter. 167000 odd miles. Che k engine light came on the other day so I narrowed a friends OBD scanner. Its a Acton CP9135. It is showing 3 codes.
P0100 MAF or VAF circuit malfunction
P0110 IAT sensor circuit malfunction
P0442 EVAP emission system leak (small)
I know I will probably have to look at some hoses for the evap system, but was wondering if anyone else has ran into the other problems and what did you do to troubleshot or what had to be done to correct the problems. Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure about the relationship to your vehicle, but many other vehicles will throw codes for EVAP if your gas cap is not on correctly. Everything from a Ford to a BMW will, so I figure a Toyota will.

On my 2.7, the MAF sensor also provides the IAT sensor. Make sure that its plugged in properly. If it is, then remove and clean with MAF/electronic spray cleaner. Thats where I would start.

Just unplugged it and treated the plug with dielectric grease. I did learn it provided both functions. I am currently researching how to test the MAF so I can see if its going bad. Thanks guys. Still open for others to comment.

With these newer vehicles your really making things hard for your self not having the diagnostics section in the FSM and at least your own code reader

It makes trouble shooting so very much easier gives you a step by step guide to follow.
