injector difference

I have a 96 4runner with the 5vz-fe and just swapped out the motor with a 02 tacoma 5vz-fe motor and I notice the injectors have a different part # is there a difference in flow rate? My injectors was originally withe green plugs the tacoma one has brown plugs it starts and drive fine but I just wanted to know about the flow rate. Thanks

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but I am wondering if you ever figured out what the difference with the injectors is. I am putting an '02 5vz into a '97 and the injectors have different part numbers. I would like to use the new injectors if possible.

the CC's are different. The newer injectors come in at 240CC's. The old ones were 230 if i remember correctly.

I dont know what computer system and harness you are using but i would guess the computer has slightly different programs. I dont think the size is an issue. and they are all High Impedance Injectors....

Thanks for the information. I am using the stock 1997 Tacoma computer and wiring. So you are thinking the computer can compensate for the slightly larger injectors? It sounds like you also have newer injectors on an older computer? Did you ever get yours running well?

I am using 1999 injectors with a 1999 computer--yeah--it runs like a top now--it was the firing order that was off--followed the chilton firing order and.....it was wrong or not well explained.

I dont think you are going to have any problems.....
