clyde thanks for clearing up the wheel issue. Since these were used on full size trucks and suv's are they too heavy for this power train or will they be fine once I get them spaced properly.

Thanks for that info. I didn't know that but its a nice feature to have not to cause thousands more in damage.

Not sure about the milkshake thing. But I didn't show you pics of the interior. It looks like Leather Face used it to transport bodies. It also has 250,000 miles on it. Lastly it seemed due to the "Myrtle Beach Effect". For some reason people are really stupid and they move here with no job and little money thinking this is the place to be. Limited economy outside of tourism so no jobs and the ones there are pay very little or they russian's will do the work. So they get here, run out of money and start selling everything they have as quick as they can. He started out at 4k but I counted 2500 on his hood and he caved. I make money everyday buy buying low and reselling fair of Clist.

I took the time to read that whole thread on Pirate and you are my hero. I have my own repair business in Myrtle Beach (small electronics) and I love doing what you did in person. I had one of my employees call me on my day off because of an irate Indian in the store. I drive up there and go in the store the guy immediately starts cussing me out and waiving a p.o.s. cell phone battery with no receipt at me. I can tell by looking at it that it came from Batteries Plus ( they sell Ebay quality trash that's overpriced). He then get's in my face about 2 inches away and calls me a son of a b.tch. I jab him with my finger tip's in his throat as hard as I can and drag him outside while he's gasping for air. I call the cops and have him arrested for a solid charges. I know how you feel. Do I qualify for the free shopping?
I'm going to use his "I'm in the marines so I know how a business should work" quote in my sig. Priceless...

as far as the wheel being too heavy, i really dont think so. those wheels are really not that much heavier than what was stock on the runners. especially with the engine you are runnin. you should be fine once you get them spaced a little more. my bad for the year thing, Ron. 96 IS right. typo i guess. Customer service is only worth it when the customer respects the vendor. they can always go somewhere else.

I appreciate that rabbit. Can you help me with which set I need. I'm a little unsure about proper spacing. Is 1 inch enough like Mauzer sugested? It seems like it should be farther out. But what do I know.

1"-1.5" is same price so width preference is up to you.

I match front to rear for tracking and cosmetics.

Looks like 1" would work fine. Just depends on what width looks best to you. Another .5" won't matter much.

seems like I might as well get it off that control arm as much as possible so let's do 1.5". Can you post a direct link to the ones I need so I don't fudge this up, I really am confused.

I'd get a thin walled flip socket too for install. Makes it easy.

I don't have a hi jack so I'm gonna have to do it at my buddy's shop. Do I still need that flip socket if I'll be using an impact wrench?

It looks like a good buy, even being from Myrtle Beach. Minature golf capital of America, maybe the world.

If you are worried about miles, there are a couple of good yards outside of Wilmington and near Jacksonville, NC that had some low mileage 3.4 engines a couple of months ago.

I worked at the Ripley's store for one summer while an ex gf worked at the Gay Dolphin. The 4th of July parade party on Ocean Boulevard in 99 will be an experience I'll never forget.

Normal sockets are too big to fit, especially impact ones.

This one will work with impact and is a good socket to have regardless. I use mine all the time just for tires.

Well worth the money as you get it basically free for your shipping refund.

Yup, wheels are off Sequoias and Tundras, and I love them!
Next set of tires I get, I'll be switching to those rims.

And nice find with a black e-locked 4runner! That's what I was originally looking for but could not find..

Is that all body lift though? Ive have never been a fan of BL's..

not worried at all about miles, eventually I will. When I do I'll hit one of those yards and drop it in.

I just thought I'd add that 1" spacers work great with 285s, but that extra .5" might make it rub a tiny bit more on the fender skirt/firewall at full stuff. I only have spacers in the front because they're not needed in the rear. It really doesn't track any different at all, and since most of the weight is in the front, the spacers still help reduce the COG a lot. I personally wouldn't "waste" money on the rears - you don't notice a visual difference unless you know about it and are measuring it.

I'm not questioning your knowledge but it just seems like the truck would track different with spacers on front and not the rear. What is COG. I get what your saying about that extra .5" , I could see it catching the inside or outside corners of the fender wells. Do you guy's thing that 1" is enough room off the control arms?

By all means you can question me, definitely not perfect here! I noticed no difference in how the truck handles by running a wider track in the front. The handling did improve from when I was running no spacers though because the COG (center of gravity) was still reduced by widening the front track (where most of the weight is) which helps offset the lift.

1" was enough for me with 4.6" backspacing and 285/75R16s (11" wide tires). Since (I think) those rims of yours are 5" BS'ing, and it looks like you're running 305s (12" wide tires), the 1.5" would be better. I was thinking you were running 285s when I said 1" earlier.

Maybe I'm trippin, but those don't look like 34" tires (305/70/17) on your pic, you sure that's right the size?
