My toyota pickup is brokedown, I have access to a heavy equipment trailer with a 2 inch hitch: that my 4runner would hook up to. Ihave read the capacities, has anybody ever towed 5000 lbs w a 02 4runner and howd it go

 

I've pulled close to that one time. It pulled the back end down enough that my headlights were blinding people on the road. I wouldn't recommend any long treks with that kind of load, especially winding roads...but it is possible.

 

I would not do it without trailer brakes!! I pulled my 94 Runner 2500 miles with my 06 Taco but I had brakes on both axles of the trailer.
