I need a power steering pump.

I called four TOYOTA dealers here in PHOENIX and they were in the mid 300s. One TOYOTA dealer wanted $161 but I think I heard wrong.

Where can I find a power steering pump for cheaper?

Do you need a new one or can you rebuild it? Rebuild kits from toyota are only about $35.

I want a new one.

I don't want to have to bother with a rebuild thing.

Only $35 for the RB kit? I think I'll "bother" with it when the time comes...

Well, ok. Just to let you know PS pumps are one of the things that go out and it's usually just the seals that go. The toyota rebuild kit replaces all the seals and you keep everything toyota, not some cheap aftermarket pump.

I got a used one from city salvage in Charlotte for $45 out of a 98 Taco. The dude running the place is slack so you probible need to pay before he pulls parts

I'm getting ORIGINAL GENUINE TOYOTA parts.

I just wanted to see if there's something out there on the net selling genuine TOYOTA parts less expansive....

I got a rebuilt pump from NAPA for less than $100. Couldn't tell any difference between the rebuilt and the one I pulled off my 3.0. Looks like it was originaly a Toyota pump. I'll get back to you in a couple of years with a durability update.
