I found the brown note =]

Got a 40 series flowmaster today... wow.! My baby came alive! I also suckered myself into a K&N airfilter. I can feel a boost already. Not necessarily on take off, but from 3-4K on the tach. its picks up quicker. What would be an estimate for the amount of power gained? Any ideas?

Also, check out deckplate and ISR mods to go along with your K&N.

You might think about returning that K&N for a Trueflow or Amsoil air filter instead.
Search for "K&N" and "MAF" and you'll see why I say that.

Yea, return that for a Trueflow. You'll get even more power out of it.

etan, tell me more about this "waste of gas club" what kinda gas mileage do you think he is getting with the flowmaster on the 3.4l v6?

The reason im asking is because today I bought a 4th gen Tacoma and some of the reason I went with a Yota is because of gas mileage. How much should I be getting stock, and how about with the 40 series?

Edit: My trucks regular cab with 3.4l v6 5spd.

Hes saying that I believe because once bro's have flowmasters on their trucks/suvs, they press the gas harder so they can hear it.

Gas mileage varies with every truck it all depends on what kind of driving you do, and how you drive. nate was right in how it explained. when i first got my flowmaster i would joyride it around town and with non stop punching it just to hear it. even at night when the backroads are empty i would just stop it and open it up all the way. it was fun till i realized i used a half tank in 2 days doing that.... and i only go to school and back each day that's 2 miles away!!! the rest was wasted on joy riding. Overall, Flowmaster is supposed to help with performance and power without any or little sacrifice on MPG. It has very high flow compared to our very flow restrictive stock mufflers. hope that answers your ?'s.

ReturnoftheR. welcome to yotatech. there's a search button if you ever need it or have any questions just post it.

I would tell advance that it threw a CEL and that you just want your stock filter back.
