I have a 98 sr5 4runner with the 3.4liter. I only have one skid plate at the front of the vehicle that stops before the engine oil pan. Everything else is exposed. Is this normal?

Don't those things also have the mini t-case bash guard?

My 2000 had (granted all of the skids are thin sheet metal and crush easily, but they are better than nothing) one that went from the front bumper/radiator, under the IFS and stopped at the back of the lower control arms. Then there was a small one that extended to the back of the steering rack/swaybar. There was also one on the gas tank. One more, the little plate that wraps around the lower end of the transfer case. (it would protect from a direct hit but the case would catch on a rock and get torn off)

You should have another skid plate that attaches to the rear of the one covering the radiator. You are short one plate.
