Black Magic is a product I have used with good success. It has to be applied every once in awhile but it works great. Painting would work, but getting the right adhesion promoters and paint additives for plastic can have interesting outcomes.

I use whipped peanut butter on my girls Jeep, those triglycerides are actually good for something...

Wow this is an OLD THREAD!!

BTW, Alternative to this would be to paint it with Plasti Dip. just mask and spray, just prep the surface with rubbing alcohol and shoot it straight out of the can. Heck you can even go with different colors and go either gloss or matt finish too.
