how to deal w/ rust?

how to deal w/ rust?
im going to start looking into this cause the under belly of my truck looks crappy. do i just spray undercarriage paint?

You need to use some rust preventive paint like POR-15.
If you don't it will spread like cancer.

hambrite paint is a good brand... i wouldn't use the spray cans though, id wire brush the rust then paint it on by hand.

I liked a product by eastwood called Rust Inhibitor. I think that's the name. It's pretty expensive....something like 30 bucks a quart but it seems to work real well on rust.

POR15 can go right over rust and it seals it. I have a starter set that I'm waiting for warm weather for. I think I'll get their metal prep stuff for a good bond.
