how to clean MAF and TB
I have a 1997 tacoma v6 4x4 160,000 miles that i just bought. ive done the plugs, oxy sensor, fuel and air filter and the deckplate mod for the air box. i have already gained 4 to 5 more mpg average from this maintenance. I have seen a lot of talk about cleaning the MAF and TB on this forum but have not found any how to threads. is there any im missing? i have never messed with a TH or MAF and only have a limited idea of what they are. was hoping to find a how to thread (hopefully with pics!) to help me on my way.
thanks.
thanks.

Here check this out. You might enjoy this conversion as it will give you better airflow and a cheaper MAF to replace when yours decides to go out.

yes. The 96-98 MAF's are bigger and more restrictive. They also are around $600 from the dealer when you need to replace them. The 99-02 MAF's are way less restricitve and are only about $130 when you need to replace them
