My truck has been sitting for awhile and i would like to get the gas out of the tank and run some alcohol through the lines with it detached before the fuel filter. Anyone know how this could be accomplished? Would I just have to hold open the AMF so the pump will start or is there more to it. I will probably siphon the tank and then put a bottle or 2 of dry gas in there and run it through then fill her up. Any thoughts???

how long is awhile 5 years?

 

9 months or so. I am installing a remanufactured motor and just wanted to make sure that i didn't get any crap in it. I also didn't want tohe fuel filter to plug up. I thought now would be a good time to bleed it while I was doing the motor. should I bother?
