How bad is this??
This is looking down in under the lower intake manifold...

This is a 5vzfe with less than 200k miles on the motor
Used to use Amsoil, but can't get that here (South America) but I always use the best full synthetic I can find at the time (last change was mobil1)

I wouldn't be too concerned.
Modern engines with PCV and EGR put some crud into their intake runners.
I've seen plenty worse than yours.
If the oil consumption is small and the engine performs well, keep driving

Ok, thanks a ton for the reply. Feeling slightly better now. After I got the lower intake off, and as soon as I got a flashlight in for a proper look, the pink color freaked me out, I was thinking pink=coolant. But i guess depending on what oil is used, it’ll leave that pink color in there?
Yeah, pretty much zero oil consumption, which is weird cause clearly the valve cover is leaking, but I can’t address that right now.
And no, the engine is not running good at all haha, but all symptoms (including code P0330) point to knock sensor wiring harness, from what I’ve read on here. And it was indeed pretty much disintegrated.
So, I put in a new sensor and pigtail harness, and cleaned up the surfaces best I could, and I guess I’m gonna start putting it all back together then… 😬

Yeah I only use toyota red (mixed), or pink when I can’t get red.
I can’t know if it is losing coolant internally anywhere, because it leaks a bit from the radiator, so I just keep it topped off. I know this is super ˟˟˟˟ty, I really wanna have it sealed up good, but it’s an all aluminum radiator, and I haven’t been able to find a way to properly fix it where i’ve been lately.

It would not be common for coolant to color the intake runners like that, but not impossible.
Perhaps it is some sort of staining from the fuel used.
