Do a search on air horns. There is a link to either Gadget's or Jason or someone that shoes the install of the horns and the small compressor. I'm thinking about it myself.
I agree. I'm ashamed when I honk!

Honk honk
In the Tech section under Electrical.
I have two Nappa Highway Blasters on my rig, and they are quite loud.
The tones are slightly off giving it a nice two tone effect.

My parents' Plymouth voyager has a pretty good sounding horn.
I doubt you want any thing really high pitched, but if you do, you should get a horn from a Toyota Previa. Those things are loud!
I've got an air horn on my Runner. Sounds good. I was embarrassed with the stock horn.
They could have at least put 2 of them on there.
Well, have fun.

I'm not sure Mohamed.
It is the sound track CD for the Tom Cruise movie Mission Imposible II.
Lots of good songs on that CD.
As you can hear a bit from my MPG, it's got some tight bass in that song.
You ought to hear it on the 15" JL W6 in my rig
Sounds very nice.
Most of the songs on that CD are all jammin' tunes.
I have some other vids I shot while wheelin' two Julys ago with the same CD playing.

I like air horns but if you want normal electric type...
Large ford cars from the 1980s (Crown Vic, Continental etc) had loud horns also the 70's and 80's Cadfilacs were mean sounding just loaded with bass.

Starting in 2002 the 4Runner horns ROCK. They sound very similar to the way newer domestic cars and trucks sound. And the best part, its a plug and play type mod, no wire cutting or that kind of crap.
Edit: I'm working on a part number, I should have it ordered Monday and report on wether or not its plug matches that of the sorry cartoonish roadrunner sounding horn most of us have.

Yeah,
I was very pissed when I bought my 4runner and found out that my black beast, had the horn of a corrolla. I immediatly orderd the Hella horns from performance products. They are Great!! You can really piss people off and really scare the bejezus out of people that aren't paying attention.
There really cheep and easy to do. That would be the first thing I would do a a Toyota I bought.
About the plug and Play mentioned in the last thread. The ones on my 2000 4runner, had plugs that unnattached, but they didn't match up exaclyt to the input on the Hella's, so if I recall correctly, I used a dremel to make it fit right.

If your anywhere near a Harbor Freight tool store they currently have a Fiamm dual air horn kit for 1/2 price $14. Im using the Hella dual air along with the stock horn and a 6 tone alarm siren. All together these make a Loud Horrible sound, the Deer dont stick around to ask questions.

Not to justify keeping your stock horn but compare your yota horn to some big manly caddy (if you could call a caddy manly), who wins? The yota horn because it is freaking high pitch piercing sound, the caddy horn is just loud and makes a ton of racket (like the rest of the car). The yota horn is distinct, the type you can hear over a radio, the caddy (or whoever ) is not..
Safety first right???
