I am looking for some information as to why this is happening. What components are responsible for this function of the 1996 3.4 Tacoma engine. Any and all responses welcome. This happened suddenly. When cold starting I must step and hold the gas in order to keep it running until it gets a little warm to run on it's own. Normally, it idles at 800 RPM but now idles between 350-400 RPM as soon as I start it. I really need some help here because I do Not trust the people over at Toyota. The last time I went there they tried to ask me for $700.00. to fix the switch in my door for the window!!!! Thanks.
