I have a '91 4Runner SR5 V6 5spd. and when I start it in the mornings it idles at like 1500 rpms for a pretty long time... my g/f has a '97 Tacoma 4cyl. 5spd. and her's only idles at about 11-1200 rpms when she first starts it... is there an idle adjuster knob? or what is wrong???

Mine does the same thing..but I have the 3.4 and on a morning startup it gets up to almost 2k for a little then goes down to 1.5k and with an exhaust system the neighbors really hate my guts.

 

Thanks... I have a 3vze engine though... I was looking for that white hex knob thing... I found something similar off right above the right wheel well, but it was a black hex knob...
