Hi-lift Jack Question

I don't have sliders, only running boards. If I use a piece of plywood between the hi-lift and the running board, will that work, and protect the running board from damage? Or is there another reason this should not be done?

I don't think the running boards will support the weight of the truck. If they did folks probably wouldn't by sliders.

Running boards are bolted onto the truck with 8 little bolts and 4 sheet metal brackets. They definitely won't support the weight of the 4Runner. Get some sliders dude!
