help w/ tire size

Hey everyone, I'm new to trucks so any help is appreciated. I have a stock 96 4runner 2WD. I purchased the Revtek 3" Lift kit. After the lift can I fit 32 x 12.5 tires on 15 x 8 rims with a 3-5/16" backspacing? How will the rubbing be?

I think you would have very minimal rubbing.

What rims did you get?

i personall dont like that combo... the baja belted tries jsut arent very good, and their rims are just like other sellers rims but a lot more expen$ive

32x11.5 or 12.5?

the most common size in a 32 is a 32x11.5x15, not 12.5

i think the only rubbing you'll have is when you lock the wheels in full turn. that can be fixed with a little pounding inside the fender wells, or a mild 1 inch body lift (cheap and not hard to do)

Thanks for the fast responses everyone!

They sell em in 32 x 11.5 & 12.5, I want the bigger tire. You say the tires aren't very good... for offroading or general use? My tires will see pavement 95% of the time. Also, the rims are $103, doesn't seem too unreasonable.

Was originally interested in 33 x 12.5 x 15 Thornbirds. I think there will be excessive rubbing with the knobs on this tire? Anybody have an opinion?

DON'T get Thornbirds! There's a few threads on here describing how much they suck. I can't help you with your current selection, but 12.5" seems too wide with that backspacing.

Thanks for advice everyone. I went with the MT 33x12.5x15 and the MT Rims as well. Will post a pic or something when it's all slapped together.
