Help Runner is Sick :(

Hey all its been a while! How is everyone?

OK here is what I have. I gots a 90 runner with a v6, manual trany

When you are in 4 or 5 gear with you foot to the foot you hear this really loud clicking sound and then smoke starts coming out of the tail pipe. when you back off the gas it gose away. It only happens went I mash the gas.

anybody got any ideas? tell me it something easy to fix!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What color is the smoke? If it's white, it's your head gasket...

the smoke is kinda of a whitish grey. it's not the head gasket. I have had bed head gaskets before. typicaly the have the white smoke (steam) as soon as you start the truck.


after doing so checking it looks like it would be one of two thinks

the Cat or the values. thats hope it the cat (thats cheaper to fix)
I'm going to do a presure test tommarow


do you'all think i'm on the right track?
