Edit...never mind HELP! New plugs, new battery, won't run!
Never mind. One of these days maybe I'll troubleshoot thoroughly before I panic. One connector was off under intake "silencer". I just missed it. Now to figure out how too turn off check engine light.
Here's the original post, still, just to remind myself.
2003 3.4L Tacoma, auto, 70,000mi.
Battery was going out, so put in a new group24. Also installed new NGK dual electrode plugs. Only did one at a time...did not mix up wires (like you could...too short). All conectors solid on.
Truck will briefly start, but won't run. Weird whining noise coming from intake area after fail to run, goes out when key turned off...?
Only thing I can think to try is putting old plugs back in and try...

dang nice of you to admit your mistake to us so we can all learn from it. NO harm no foul and you got the satisfaction of finding it on your own.
I use my teenage son to keep me "grounded" on DIY repairs. He has a keen eye for noticing the fine details-so use a helper whenever possible.
Mr First Husband to not be might have a spare minute or two now...just messing with you alaska guys
