Help! My Yota wont start!

I've been looking for a cheap intake upgrade for my 2nd gen for a while now, and I finally found a cone filter and a MAF adapter for my 4 runner on ebay for only $20 . However, I ran into a little trouble during the install. I popped the hood and unscrewed the clamp on the intake hose, and as I started pulling it off of the throttle body, I somehow managed to rip a 3 inch gash in the intake tube! Dammit! So, since I couldn't use that hose anymore I decide to jerry rig my own out of the other piece of intake tubing that I had left. I used a dremmel and fashioned two holes in the center y-piece of intake tubing and plummed the hose from the plenum and the other hose that originally plummed into the stock airbox into it. There was another large hole where the tubing y'ed off. I plugged the smaller hole with a plastic cap and tightened it with a hose clamp. I then attatched one end of the hose back onto the throttle body and attatched the other end to the MAF and bolted the cone filter onto the end of the MAF. I tightened everything else back up and I removed the stock airbox completely, but now it wont start. I double checked all of my connections and my MAF is plugged in and all of my seals in my modified intake hose are sealed, but still no luck. please help!

Cmon guys, surely someone can help me out here.

What portion of the intake sytem would cause my truck to be unable to start besides an unplugged MAF sensor?

accidentally pulling the spark wire coming from the coil, or knocking it loose. I'm speaking from experience so don't feel bad if this is it.

I checked all of my spark plug wires and they look fine. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
