Be sensible about this. If they are crazy enough to try and fill up your truck with water, and then you perform some sort of retaliation, chances are they are gonna take it to the next level and things are going to get really bad.

Just fix everything that you can, drain all the water out, keep the fingers crossed, and get some motion detector lights outside.

that was no prank
putting a condom over the tail pipe is a prank.
and safer than a potato or any other thing it will pop or blow off
we used to use a zip tie or duct tape to keep it from blowing off so it would pop.

Thanks for the heads up CyMoN . What happened to your truck is really screwed up but may be a decent insurance claim (vandalism).

Drive it around normally, the check engine light should go out once the O2 sensor clears.

with the plugs out maybe tape a shop vac to the tailpipe? Might suck water out of the muffler and cat. Dunno worth a shot. Also if you crank it with the plugs out there wont be any compression so the motor will just be spinning. Sounds funny when you do that. Not sure but dont the plugs have to be grounded if your cranking like that so you dont hurt the ECU?

that is destruction of private property amongst other possible things. and it might run now, but theres a possibility that it caused long-term damage. This is one of the reasons I like dogs. Chain a loud one to the bumper at night. I'd also be paying a visit to anyone i suspect of doing it and having a little chat with them, video camera in hand.

Well my block has a bunch of old people, really no teen age people. Awhile ago i borrowed one of my friends instruments used to measure how loud is something and my exhuast is rated at 113 dbs at 4000rpm in neutral lol.

Maybe this is a good time to put on a less obnoxious muffler on (if yours has standing water in it) to give whoever did this less of a reason to try anything else. If it's insanely loud, not only does it sound stupid, but you're going to piss somebody off at some point. There are a couple high school kids with either no exhaust or those loud can mufflers that resonate the whole house who drive by at all hours of the night and try to set my alarm off. It has crossed my mind more than once to find a way to shut them up, be it chasing them down or filling their damn tailpipes with expanding foam. I'm by no means saying this was justified, just trying to help you not let it happen again!

if you have a video camera, set it up, then drive loudly down the street, very annoying like. See who comes by and messes with it again.......
