HELP: fuel problems? in moab
If anyone has any suggestions for me I'd greatly appreciate it.
I rolled into moab this evening, after a 4hr drive that went perfect. After checking in to my hotel, I restarted my 4runner ('97) and it began acting funny. I pushed the gas pedal down all the way and my runner didnt even accelerate, it was supper sluggish and felt like it might die. It wasnt sputtering, but it did some hickups that sounded like backfireing but softer. Since then the problem has been off and on, randomly.
It seems to me to be a fuel system problem, though i have little expertise in that area. My check engine light has not been coming on so I wouldnt think it would be a clogged injection filter since a sensor should pick that up. I guess it could be bad gas and i put some heet in the tank, but i dont think thats very probable since its not really cold enough to get condensation.
Any ideas?

Fuel fiter too...
Makesure you get this figured out tomorrow (sat) am. All the car shops close by 1:00 on sat and are not open on Sunday - so get up and get working on it early!
There is a carqest and some other parts store in town. Moab 4x4 outpost on the far east end of town - but again the fix it shops close by 1:00 on Sat
