Help! No oil pressure

Well.....yesterday I made a big mistake. I ran out of time last night....and had my brother finish my oil change for me. Now, my brother used to work at a mechanics, and seemed to know more than I did.......so I thought it would be fine.

Hahah, not true. He mistook the transmission drain plug, for the oil one....so he drained my tranny, and filled up my oil. After all this, we couldn't figure out what was going on......my tranny was slipping, and my oil levels were insanly high.
I then decided to look at the container that he poured the "oil" into....it was transmission fluid....˟˟˟˟ eh?

So I got it all straightened out.....oil levels back to normal, and transmission fluid in the tranny. BUUUUT nowww, my oil pressure gauge is reading nothing, no pressure.

My brother said he ran the truck for about...3 minutes or so....with too much oil, and no tranny fluid.

Could I have blown a seal? Could it have wrecked my oil pump?

I NEED my truck ASAP, to run my brother over with.....so any help would be appreciated.

p.s. just kidding about the running over.

mark

First off, I assume an auto tranny. Even with draining the sump, there is still plenty of oil remaining in the sytem to keep everything lubricated for short periods as long as it wasn't driven. Your engine may be a different matter entirely. Double filling the crankcase could quite possibly do all sorts of damage as severe as hydrolocking it. I'm thinking you may be right about the oil pump but I'd start simple and cheap and go from there; replace the sender first, it's always possible you just blew out the diaphragm inside.
